But i was just interested in how owning the same game works on both platforms. I'm not planning to buy this game steam, because i alredy own it origin. Thank you for letting me know, I have user accounts on steam and origin. Personally I would buy it direct from Origin, but that's a personal choice. If you buy on Steam and you don't have an Origin account then you will have to sign up for one I assume. However BOTH Steam and Origin will be required to play the game and afaik you must launch it from Steam. If you but on Steam then yes, there will be an icon for it on Origin. I have Dead Space 1 &2 on Steam and 3 on Origin which is what I personally prefer, so what you choose is up to you. It depends on the game though, for eg I have Mad Max on both Steam and Origin and they are completely separate. I have a couple of games on Steam that do this which is why I don't like it.
